Zambia is rich in mineral resources, especially copper and cobalt resource. These mineral resources play an important role in the world. In addition, its talc is also a kind of crucial deposits. The talc in this country is mainly distributed in the central and central north area.
The main component of talc is hydrous magnesium silicate, and the structure of pure talc is composed of a layer of brucite sandwiched between two layers of silica. The crystalline structure of talc is layered. It has a tendency to split into scales and a special lubricity, so it is called talc.
According to the size of the crushed granules, talc is currently classified into three types: ground talc powder, fine talcum powder, and ultrafine talcum powder.
Ground talc powder is a talc powder which is sieved by a test sieve and has a sieve diameter of 1000 to 38 μm and a pass rate of 95 or more. (This fineness is coarse powder, so the sieve is used to calculate the sieve residue, and the pass rate is used to determine the mesh.)
The fine talcum powder refers to the particle size of 30 micrometers or less measured by an instrument (referred to as a laser particle size analyzer). Talc powder with a cumulative content of over 95%. Ultrafine talc refers to talc powder which is measured by an instrument and has a particle size of 10 μm or less and a cumulative content of 90% or more.
HGM 100 vertical grinding mill can grind talc into ultrafine talcum powder. HGM 100 can produce powder within 2500 mesh and its capacity can up to 9 t per hour. What’s more, it can be equipped with the secondary classifying system. That is to say, if higher-fineness powder is demanded, this system can process the powder with a second treatment.
